We already knew that, Fife. The fact that you refused to acknowledge that your fucked up ideology would result in scarcities where they wouldn't otherwise exist has demonstrated that fully.
If you were in service, you'd have at least some argument with which to respond, but you damned well know it is in human nature to try to corner markets to exploit people, which is what we really mean by price gouging (not "high prices" canards).
