Oklahoma representative makes valid point on statues, gets lit up and doesn't back down.

Rep. John Bennett, a retired marine, who represents District 2 in Sequoyah County said,

"If we're removing Confederate monuments after the Civil War, I think we should also be removing mosques after 9/11," in his Facebook post said.

Asked if Mosques could serve as a Trigger for a Veteran with PTSD, Bennett agreed that it could possibly make a Veteran or a Family member of a Veteran very uncomfortable.

DALLAS (AP) — Crews arranged by Dallas officials removed a statue of Robert E. Lee from a pedestal Thursday and carted it away from a park named for the Confederate general.

In an unannounced move, a large crane was brought through the city by a police escort to Lee Park, where it lifted the large statue from its pedestal late Thursday afternoon.

City officials said in a statement that an art conservator monitored the proper handling of the statue, and police tactical officers with automatic rifles provided security.

The statue was lowered onto a flatbed trailer for transport to an abandoned naval air station owned by the city on its western outskirts. It’s expected to remain there until city officials decide the statue’s future.

I remember. I used to be the guy that watch the daily show and considered that my news.

It came up in communications the other day. Kids were saying they get their news from the talk shows. Professor told 'em that ain't news, and one guy said the real news all turned into talk shows, so that's all there is now.
