I'm actually reading the article Bjorn posted and don't see much of anything to correlate suffragettes with feminism like DSL asked for an example of. The one time the attempt was made was by citing this terrible article
https://www.pacificu.edu/about/media/fo ... s-feminism
A control+f reveals the one time suffrage comes up in this paragraph
The first wave of feminism took place in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, emerging out of an environment of urban industrialism and liberal, socialist politics. The goal of this wave was to open up opportunities for women, with a focus on suffrage. The wave formally began at the Seneca Falls Convention in 1848 when three hundred men and women rallied to the cause of equality for women. Elizabeth Cady Stanton (d.1902) drafted the Seneca Falls Declaration outlining the new movement's ideology and political strategies.
This doesn't seem to mean that suffragettes identified as feminists. In fact it only bolsters DSL's case that it's a socialist concept.

Sigh. From the article Bjorn posted.

It is born of the instinct within every natural woman's soul that God designed her as the equal, the co-worker, the comrade of the men of her family, and not as their slave, or servant, or dependent, or plaything.
Carrie Chapman Catt was an American women's suffrage leader who campaigned for the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which gave U.S. women the right to vote in 1920. Wikipedia

Ah. I see I overlooked her. She has an interesting name as well but I see now yes. I always suspected feminism was socialist.

I like it when they cry because we provide them the quote they requested. I can envision the snot coming out of their noses when they are losing an argument. Many funs.
The first key to DSL, which you already know, is that he's doesn't actually support the suffragettes either.
He doesn't really support women's right to vote.
He's only drawing the 1st wave v 3rd wave distinction because the 1st wave have more prestige, and so by attacking the bond, he hopes to weakien 3rd wave feminism.
So from the start its a disengious argument.

Reminder that the demand was for a single quote from a suffragette referencing Feminism. Goal achieved

Feminism is likely to be the last remnant of Marxism, long after the other forms died off. It's the most difficult to kill. People are very emotionally attached to the idea that women are perpetual victims and men need to constantly save them from the brutish rogues.
In truth, women are quite capable of looking after themselves. They don't need special treatment and double standards. They can handle gender equality. We really ought to give it to them without providing excuses.
