It's just socialism. Socialists were calling themselves feminists at the same time that suffragettes were walking around bullying teenage boys into enlisting and dying in the trenches of France (and arguing that white women need the vote to counter the negro vote). Those socialists, on the other hand, were arguing for the same things that feminists argue for today. To wit:

That's feminism. There really were no separate "waves" of feminism. It's always been there, all the way back to Charles Fourier in turn of the 19th century.
