It called itself "second wave feminism" and tried to make itself sound more legitimate by recasting the earlier women's movement as "first wave feminism".

I think it's truly incredible that people created a fake history and managed to convince even their detractors of the fake history's legitimacy.

Perhaps, but at least the first and second wave was smart enough to hide their agenda by trying to push something through. The third wave... oy... we could do without and still get things done.

Second wave feminists were no different than the so-called third wave feminists. It's just feminism, man.
