People don't understand why troops kill themselves when they come back from war

It's not because the war was terrible

It's because they got addicted to it and then they can't handle going back to the drudgery of peacetime

As a non-operator, sure seems like work to me. To each their own though, keep on keepin' on.

You don't feel the mortal peril because the bug is not hunting you, so you're not jacked up for it

Even if it was, it would still seem like work. It doesn't seem to work to you, because you love it anyway.

The fog of war is liberating, everything else falls away and you can just live in the now

But only if there is some mortal peril, has to be some danger to make it real,

if it's safe, there is no juice, it's just exercise

Life is what you make of it, you gotta make your own fun, but when it gets dangerous, that's when it gets spicy

Not to mention I've spent the better part of the last decade preparing for this exact situation

I didn't know for sure that the Black Swan was going to be a pandemic, but I knew the bubble would crash hard

So I can enjoy all my preparations, because I prepared to make sure I could be relaxed and having fun WTSHTF
