^^^ that shit right there is something from nightmares.
Also, the flood waters also have snakes and gators. Plus, chemicals that came from flooded chem pants in the area.
Clean up is going to be a bitch for those people down in Texas and I hope they get a large federal funding to help them.

But they did it themselves. They didn't need a Federal ant government to help them outPenner wrote:A group of ants coming to together in a time of need.....GrumpyCatFace wrote:COMMUNISM!!!Penner wrote:Fire ants are able to bond together and form floating "rafts" in the flood waters in Texas.

Also, Mexico wants to help in the aide/clean up of the floods and the Governor of Texas is all, "yeah, okay...."
https://www.dallasnews.com/news/weather ... vey-reliefEL PASO — Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said Wednesday the state is accepting Mexico's offer to help get Texas back on its feet in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.
"Yes - I have and we are," said Abbott in Austin when asked by journalists whether he would accept assistance from Mexico. "We had a list of aid and assistance that they have offered to provide that we are accepting."
Carlos Gonzalez Gutierrez, the consul general in Austin, applauded the governor's decision. He said assistance of vehicles, boats and food will start arriving in Texas within days.
"We are very pleased with Governor Abbott's response," he said. "Mexico looks forward to doing its share."
Mexico, in a diplomatic note Tuesday, provided a long list of items that includes troops, convoys of food, medicine, portable showers and water, said Carlos Sada, Mexico's undersecretary for North American relations.

Don't know if this is going to be a thing or not but maybe Nuke (and everyone around Huston) should just get out and go to Dallas or something?
https://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/hurri ... ty-n797581One of the world's largest chemical companies warned Wednesday that its flooded plant near Houston will likely catch fire and explode in the next few days — and there's nothing the company can do about it.
Arkema Group's plant in Crosby, Texas — about 20 miles northeast of Houston — was inundated by more than 40 inches of rain by Hurricane Harvey and has been without electricity since Sunday, the company, based in Colombes, France, said in a statement.
The plant manufactures organic peroxides commonly used in everyday products like kitchen countertops, industrial paints, polystyrene cups and plates and PVC piping. The materials must be kept very cool, but refrigerators for the plant's low-temperature containers are out of commission, and backup generators were also swamped, meaning "the potential for a chemical reaction leading to a fire and/or explosion within the site confines is real," the company said.

Saw Oklahoma urban rescue units in convoy and more ma duces and whatever police are being equipped with now than any other time in my life. Like fucking hobbyists. So many boats and people strapping canoes and kayaks on their roofs.
This isn't like Katrina at all
Also fire ant rafts are unsinkable. They don't break the water skin even if pushed below. Ingenious really.
