I find it hard to be disappointed that we’re trying something new, instead of continuing a sixty year tradition of bribing a Stalinist tyrant who grows increasingly dangerous and gives us nothing in return.

We’ve cut off aid completely, years ago and sanctioned the hell out of them. Where the “bribe”?

I’ll give you a starting point though - when we signed the armistice in 1953 we didn’t continue down an uninterrupted path of zero aid, and crippling sanctions for the next 65 years.
