There is no flaw. Canada is much better than the US in every way. We don't really even need a wall we just need a six lane super highway to Toronto with free bus charters.DrYouth wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 4:27 pmOh them...Montegriffo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 3:59 pmEvil refugees.
What else does anyone around here ever talk about?
You're going to build a wall with Mexico...
And then send the refugees to Canada...
Where there is no wall.
I'm sensing a flaw in that plan.

Canada is too cold for normal people. First sign of winter and they will be crossing back into the US and heading for Texas.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

This is amazing. Can you believe how fucking awesome our president is? Sure, Whataburger or even Carl's Jr would be a lot better but this is probably the most alpha display of dominance I have ever seen from an elected official. God bless America. God bless Trump. God bless burgers everywhere.

I held the certs , they didn’t open doors, I’ve had more phone calls for me to jump to another gig than I ever did when I held them.DBTrek wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 3:34 pmYou know a good remedy for fighting ageism? The Conservative wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 2:47 pmWho would hire a 40+ year old for a new job with an MCSE cert? Seriously, agism is a huge problem is the IT field...
Certs.
"Why should we hire you when we can hire a new college grad who is immersed in the most modern technology?"
"You mean technology like <rattle of relevant certs>"?
Look, if you want to be the dim-bulb codger who believes your long tenure in a lightning fast industry is more valuable than someone who continuously improves and updates their knowledge, have at it. You may believe that the rest of the marketplace holds your biases, or is impressed with your extreme record of being good at one thing a long time ago.
Just don't come crying to us when you're replaced by someone with the same experience who also hasn't sat on his ass for the last two decades griping about "meaningless certs".
Your apathy may well be the instrument of your destruction - the question is, will you be able to recognize it if that happens?
So sorry, but certifications for me are nothing more than a piece of paper that says you are good at regurgitating data.
The only certain I would take with anything but a grain of salt is one earned while in the military.
