Yeah, this will really get traction. You fucking dipshits.
They were okay with the assassination attempt,

I very much support a law like that.

I'm pro anonymity on the internet. But if you want to show up to a rally your face should be known. Precisely because the violence issue we seem to be having.

Showing up to a rally, and doing nothing more than standing around, maybe chanting something, I don't think, should require that you show your face. Seems like a restriction on free speech.

That's the sort of shit grumps would support. He's all about civil disorder. Nothing he loves more than a reason to get violent.

Not much difference between, "that guy doesn't agree with me. attack him," and, "that guy has a mask. arrest him."

Just draw a fine line between being a civil human, obeying the law, and a violent thug. Mask or no mask. If I want to walk to the store, and get attacked along the way, I'm not gonna feel better about it if the thug is showing his face.

All that said, hiding your face while claiming to be doing nothing more than exercising your 1A rights does draw suspicion. If nothing else, you look like a pussy. Some of the bravest folks around these days are the ones still rocking Trump bumper stickers.

There is probably case law that agrees with you.

How would you word a law that stops this from happening? You can't just arrest people who happen to be standing next to a riot. How would the cops identify the violent ones from the nonviolent ones in the chaos?

Actually, no. Most of the southern states already have laws against masks in that kind of demonstration due to the KKK.

Pretty sure we already have laws against street violence. I'm willing to wager that we also already have police who are paid to address it. Doesn't seem like we need any more laws for this issue. Just a matter of execution.

Yeah, I know. I was wondering about that a while back. Is the south a no-go zone for antifa because of these laws, or are they being ignored?

They weren't enforced in Charlottesville.
