Iraq is going a hell of a lot better than Afghanistan, America had it backwards, and I said so at the time, in terms of viability, Iraq was the Good War, Afghanistan was the Bad War.

As bad as Afghanistan turned out, we at least had a reason to be there.

I would be very surprised if Iraq ended up as a stable country any time in the near future, but I can't see the future either.

It's already stabilized for the most part, there's only pockets of resistance to King Dollah there now, and they are being ground down into the dirt, slowly but surely, street by street, block by block, but because you've gone back to the Rumsfeld Doctrine; next to no American casualties in the process, and so; sustainable beyond the near term, and thus; victory in the mid to long, inevitably.

Better reason to be in Iraq, as it is exponentially more viable than Afghanistan, someday maybe King Dollah will rule Aghanistan again, but in Iraq, much sooner, in fact, he rules Iraq already.

There's no infrastucture in Afghanistan, it's just a pile of dirt, Iraq on the otherhand, urbanized from the get go.

And in Iraq; no India v. Pakistan. Only Iran, but; Iran's interest is also to stabilize, Iranian and American interests now aligning in Iraq.

Now, why did Shinseki say what he said? What was his ideology? Go Army, beat Navy/AirForce. What was his beef? Rumsfeld Doctrine; no boots on the ground.
