I think there actually was a window of opportunity for Trump to really fix the healthcare system or really "drain the swamp", as the GOP was after Trump's victory rattled. Trump could easily have increased his popularity with those things. But who knew that healthcare would be a complex issue? Who knew that the GOP has various factions inside it?

Even if he was there at the right time, even if he did choose some good picks for his administration, he wasn't the quite what he promised.

Umm... horses aren't cheap. The girls parents typically don't have the money here that their daughters would have a genuine half a ton horse between their legs. You bet they would prefer that than having a hobby horse stick there. Heck, my five year old daughter is absolutely excited about riding. Put her on to the saddle and she's all smiles.

The real boring humourless answer: after posting YouTube videos which created local popularity, someone made a documentary about it, and the foreign media took it as a nice human interest news as the founder had been teased in school because of her odd hobby. The same old story: people diss you because you're not the same as others, but you can be what you want to be.
