Plus, just to add, even though I generally don't fuck with my Nissan, under the auspices of "if it ain't broke don't fuck with it", as it ages, if push comes to shove, I can fix it myself, whereas a Tesla, not so much, the guy I know who owns the Tesla, he really has no clue how to work on it, he is totally dependant on Tesla, for any and all service, there is no DIY with a Tesla AFAIK.
Where do you get parts for a Tesla electric motor? Can you get standardized parts for a Tesla "engine"? I don't see Tesla Lithium-Ion batteries on the shelf down at Canadian Tire, and pretty sure I wouldn't want to try to "hack" the Tesla software. See how that works?

You're saying we need a grass roots DIY electric car movement.
I'm already on it,
I'm already on it,

My old 92 Sentra E got 40 mpg on regular gas. Just saying.
No p/s, a/c and a five speed though. Came like that from the factory. P cool.

Another thing about the Tesla, defeats the whole purpose of a sports car, sports car is not just about going fast, in fact, most of the time you ain't even going that fast, the sports car is for the visceral experience, full sensory spectrum, so if you thought a GT-R sounded like a "hair dryer" with the factory exhaust, just wait till you hear the Tesla, or not hear it actually, whereas once you swap out the Nissan factory exhaust for the HKS, the only thing that can match it for sensory bliss, is an F-15 Eagle at full afterburner.

Glorified hair dryer. That's exactly what the one I saw at the strip sounded like. Was highly disappointed. But yeah they make good aftermarket pipes for them. You got a cat back? 2.5 inch?

I heard rolling windows down burns more gas than the a/c when you factor in the drag. Wish my dad had known that when I was growing up.TheReal_ND wrote:My old 92 Sentra E got 40 mpg on regular gas. Just saying.

Well the thing floated too much at anything over 65. Fucker weighed like 2k and not a pound more. Drag is kind of an exponential effect but I don't roll my windows down all the way anyway. Ever since Katrina too much wind gives me anxiety.

Yeah, Legamax Cat Back with the down pipes, I told the guy I wanted it to sound more agressive, but it didn't have to be ridiculously loud, so it's more about the note than the noise, still, it's pretty fuckin' loud for my tastes, I'm not looking to wake the whole neightborhood up, I just wanted more growl.TheReal_ND wrote:Glorified hair dryer. I'm not the expert, but pretty sure it's routed through the exhaust, no open dump, as a screamer pipe, would make it insanely loud, which, would get you pulled over in Canada, no doubt.TheReal_ND wrote:No dump tube? Oh wait Canada lol
