England expects every man to do his duty.
Just in case you can't be arsed to recycle though there will now be a deposit charged on your plastic bottles and aluminium cans which you get back when you return them to the shop.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Danish EPA: Plastic Bags have Lowest Environmental Impact
The Danish Environmental Protection Agency has published a study that analyses the life cycle environmental impacts of production, use and disposal of grocery carrier bags currently available in Danish supermarkets.
<snip>
The main finding of the analysis is that with regards to production and disposal, LDPE lightweight carrier bags provide the overall lowest environmental impacts for most environmental indicators when not considering reuse. In particular, between the types of available bags, LDPE carrier bags with rigid handle are the most preferable. Effects of littering for this type of bag were considered negligible for Denmark.
Moreover, another relevant finding was in respect to the best disposal option, the Study states” “reusing the carrier bag as a waste bin bag is better than simply throwing away the bag in the residual waste and it is better than recycling. Recycling can potentially offer benefits in the case of heavy plastic bags, such as PP, PET and polyester. Reuse as a waste bin bag is most beneficial for light carrier bags, such as LDPE, paper and biopolymer”.

It boggles my mind that a culture can be that fucking stupid and backwards in this day and age.....want to save the planet? Eliminate the 3rd world - that's right, I said it.C-Mag wrote:Did you guys see where Indonesians killed a rare Summatran Tiger because they believed it was a shapeshifter

It's exactly correct, including the re-use potential of those plastic bags. Take away my plastic bags and I have to buy plastic bags for trash cans and dog poop (x2 dogs 4-5 times per day total).

They're everywhere, though. If there is one thing I can't stomach about living around Asheville, it's the God damned vampires.

Yeah, and you get more of them when you ban the plastic grocery bag.
