Obvious bullshit is obvious.
Iraq. We bombed them from Florida, daily.
Operation Iraqi Freedom? Nonsense, all those strikes were conducted from forward operating bases in the Persian Gulf and carrier strike groups.

There's only one Air Combat Command base in Florida, Tyndall AFB, the 325th Fighter Wing, and two of the squadrons in that wing are training squadrons, the other is Florida ANG assigned to NORAD.
Also from Missouri. http://www.foxnews.com/story/2003/03/26 ... d-awe.html

I lived in Florida at the time. It was normal to see B-2s flying east, and well known to the locals what was going on.

They also made round-trips to Libya, more recently. https://theaviationist.com/2017/01/20/a ... -in-libya/

Bullshit, the B2's from Whiteman AFB were not overflying Florida, stop lying, dude.

They flew 22 sorties from Whiteman, round trip, and you don't get to the ME from Missouri, by way of Florida.

They go Newfoundland, Greenland, Iceland, UK, Europe, ME, they don't go south over the Caribbean.

Even the B52's from Barksdale don't get to the ME by way of Florida, the bombers all the take the northern route, nobody crosses the Atlantic by way of Florida.

Even if fighters were departing to the ME from Tyndall, they would go straight north over Georgia, on their way to the northern route.

No, they were flying out of MacDill, I think. It was a long time ago, but it was on the local and national news at the time.

Regardless, Missouri is an even farther trip, and they were doing it non-stop.

There's no combat aircraft based at MacDill, Air Mobility Command Reserve C-135 tanker squadron, so obvious lying is obvious, there are no B2's at MacDill, no combat aircraft fly out of MacDill, and the C-135 is a Boeing 707, so if you saw it, you would well know it wasn't a B2.

Stop lying, dude, you never saw combat aircraft flying from MacDill to the ME, obvious bullshit is obvious.

No I did not. I lived an hour south of it.

I definitely remember seeing bombers on the news, flying direct from Florida to Iraq. I only found a couple of articles showing them flying out of Missouri, instead.

Regardless, the point was that 'Yes, Virginia, we can bomb anywhere without forward deployment'.

Bullshit again, there are no bombers based in Florida, and the B2's in the Iraq War flew one mission and one mission only, all 22 of them, in one pass, they flew straight from Whiteman to the ME, did the lead strikes for Shock and Awe, and then flew straight home to Whiteman, northern route all the way, never passing anywhere near Florida on the way out nor back.

And only the B2's did that, the B1's and B52's forward deployed to Diego Garcia Island. Diego Garcia was overflowing with jets, just as Guam would be, if the USAF was building up for war on the Peninsula.

Another series of direct flights from Missouri to Libya. http://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/70 ... s-in-libya

Maybe MacDill was just involved in the refueling then. It was 10 years ago, and I was drunk most of the time.

The B2's fly non stop, from Whiteman, to the target, and back, they go the northern route the whole way, you've never seen a B2 overflying Florida, it would be a more realistic lie if you claimed to have seen them overflying Toledo.

The route from Missouri to the ME, starts over Canada, they fly north over Gander Newfoundland first, by way of Northern Ontario and Quebec, way north of me, never mind Florida.

I did not say that I'd personally seen them. I said that it was a big deal among the locals. I distinctly remember being told that they were 'flying out of MacDill'.

I'll concede that it was probably for refueling the bombers on their way out. Good job. :)

But again - bombed from CONUS to ME, no stops, no waiting, do not pass Go.

Didn’t The Conservative pilot a B-52 on a surprise bomb run from MacDill to Iraq?
