You're forgetting
who our obligation is to, I think. It isn't to America. It's to our NATO allies. If you want to spend less, spend fucking less. It's not Europe that bloats your defense spending, it's all your ridiculous wars and operations in Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia.
You yourself argued Americans are obliged to go to the brink of nuclear war if even the most inconsequential of you are threatened by Russia, including her former satellites.
Never once said that. On the contrary I've said you're free to back out at any time you want. Stay in NATO or don't. Be an ally, or don't.
Yet you have no duty to meet the most basic obligations of the same treaty. As if you are entitled to a national defense bankrolled by the American middle class, all while you gloat about your generous welfare state made possible by your people spending less than 2% on defense.
Who's "gloating" about my welfare state? You're projecting someone or something unto me that I've never once said. I believe that our way of life is superior, sure, but I never "gloated" about it - that's just your inferiority complex talking. Me gloating about life here accomplishes about as much as gloating to a Chinese that I have more freedom than him. Even if he agrees, he'd just say too much freedom is dangerous and leads to chaos.
Also, there's not much welfare state left here, anyway. Your leftist media's positive portrayal of our welfare state is both outdated by a decade or more, and it's
them (your own leftists) who want you to copy Scandinavia, not us Scandinavians who want you to become like us.
Fame is not flattery. Respect is not agreement.
