Who'd nuked Southern Australia and New Zealand? Part of New Zealand seem like a safe and stable environment all things considered. Might even stay a representative government or at least not go completely marshal law/dictator after Russia/China/USA go at it.

The Russians, everybody in Five Eyes gets it, Australia and New Zealand are at the top of the Russian target list after the CONUS, with the UK and Canada.

Five Eyes is one integrated force against the Russians, it's the tier one American alliance, above even NATO.

But, again, the Tradewinds south of the Doldrums carry all the fallout from Australia and New Zealand to the west and north, away from South America not towards it, prevailing winds are going west in the southern hemisphere.

And then when those winds get to the Indian Ocean, they curl around in a cyclonic action, dropping all that fallout into the sea.

Even if some of it comes east, in Paraguay, you're on the other side of the Andes, there's a powerful jet stream going west over the peaks, so you're completely shielded from it, any spillage to the east is going to drop on Chile, maybe southern Argentina, but it's not going to make it all the way to Paraguay.

That would be insane. There’s nothing there.

They probably saw your flippant ass posts about nuclear winter, and are gonna send some your way to teach you a lesson...

It's actually listed as a prime target; city of 300,000 within 30 miles of a nuclear power station and an air force base.

It's about to get even more prime, because Toledo Air National Guard Base is scheduled to get F-35's, so there's three targets, the air force base, Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, and Toledo itself as the supporting population center.

Florida doesn't have anything worth hitting, so I am sleeping well. Toronto will be ashes, but Orlando will become a thriving hub of commerce and culture in the post nuclear world. I feel bad for you Smitty, but I will be too busy enjoying myself to worry about your wellbeing in a nuclear exchange. A cheap plane ticket to orlando would probably save your life, but you are too addicted to the brutally cold winters of Canada.

Harlingen, TX, a literal shithole gets some too. One of the few airstrips large enough to hoist the C-130 Herculese. You'd be surprised what gets targeted.
