I would submit that the danger comes from the Hanarchy point of view

that Crimea "is not really Russia", it's "not part of Russia", it's "just like Puerto Rico"

I think that is the view in Washington, and that is in my estimation the vector towards a nuclear confrontation

never mind that America would fight a nuclear war to defend Puerto Rico too
