Honestly, a lot of these Hollywood chicks have jack shit on the elite gym thots scattered around the country. The beauty standards for women in Hollywood have fallen a great deal. I am not sure if that's good or bad, but an upscale gym always has a few 10s doing glute day in the squat racks. No gyms like that in flyover country, though.

There's also a certain level of objective attractiveness where, once past, I lose interest. I am not sure if that's evolutionary behavior or common sense (I suspect a bit of both).

There's no such thing as 'objective attractiveness', but I know what you're trying to say. When they hit a certain level of "GQ Beauty", they just look fake and unreal. Not because they're 'too hot to approach', but more like a different species.

It's the interviewer's job to play devil's advocate. Fawning, sycophantic suck ups are not the journalistic standards to be admired.

No, the interviewer's job is to find the truth. Sometimes, that requires playing devil's advocate at times during the interview, but not for the ENTIRE interview.

Of course there will be more of that devil's advocate thingy when she's interviewing one person, rather than moderating a debate between two people. But that interview is a good example of really bad journalism. BBC interviewed him a few days later, and were doing a much better job. They still criticized him, but were not trying to strawman the hell out of all of his arguments.

But it's Channel 4, awful interview techniques are to be expected.

Piers then tried to get profound. The real reason the president was so keen on having a state visit to Britain had nothing to do with his insatiable desire to be flattered by someone even more important than Piers. It was because his mother was Scottish and he wanted to return to his roots. Cut to archive footage of his mother. The hair resemblance was uncanny. At the mention of Scotland, Trump gave a quick plug to his golf course. Business was business.

So it continued. Piers would sometimes ask what purported to be a serious question and then let the Donald off the hook when he failed to answer it. The Donald had no idea the racist Britain First tweets that he retweeted were racist. Climate change was wrong because it was pretty cold in Davos but he’d rethink the Paris Treaty if New York could get some warm weather. If the Las Vegas shooter hadn’t had 50 rifles he’d have bought 50 bombs from the local bomb shop.


Piers would have got more sensible answers from most 10-year- olds. And Graham Norton would have asked more probing questions. As a serious interview, the whole thing was pretty much a non-starter. But it had never been about that. It had been about entertainment. The Piers and Donald show, and it wouldn’t have mattered if they had spent the whole time talking rubbish. So that was precisely what they had done.
