For those that see the negligence:

The main question left for me is why the acquittal?

Only 1 out of 50 folks or so that I have shown this to thinks it was ok. Yet 12 out of 12 jurors.

Is it simply that the judicial system is incapable being unbiased with respect to the police force?

(i.e. that the prosecution, defense and judge dealt with the case differently than they do civilian ones)

Was the jury unanimous? Only 1 of 12 had to say Not Guilty, for him to walk.

It's like demanding that Joe Q. Civil Servant be like an NFL Quarterback, sure, everybody is pissed off when the QB throws an I-N-T, but go out there and try it some time, with the pass rush bearing down on you, and see how many passes you complete.

Its more equivalent to training football players not to get into a fist fight on the field.

Controlled violence is possible.

I believe it was "not guilty" rather than "hung jury"

The guy made a mistake, the adrenal dump overwhelmed his perception, he tunnel visioned, his brain saw what it saw and ignored the rest, but the reality is, it happens, is it second degree murder beyond a reasonable doubt? I don't think so, and twelve jurors unanimously agree.

If you charge him with manslaughter, that's more reasonable, but based on that video alone, I can't convict for malicious murder, he certainly did fuck that up about as bad as you could, but so would a lot of people, I could make the same mistakes, anybody could, doesn't make you a "psychopath"

I mean, I've trained for CQC at a very high level, for years, a higher level and far more training than the police get, and we were very good at it, but very good at it was probably about 80% right, 20% of the time, we shot the wrong guy.

That’s one of the most obvious things about this video. There is no fear or even excitement in the cops voice. If anything, he sounds like he’s on a power trip and enjoying himself.

The only person here who is qualified to diagnose someone as a psychopath, is DrY, and he couldn't make that diagnosis from a few seconds of video, so just shouting "psychopath" over and over is pointless blather.

You say you want "justice', but obviously not, as you can't convict people based on ad hom fallacies, so it's not relevant to the case.

I'm discussing the OP, there's no point in just spewing poutrage at your computer screen, that's just "blah-blah-blah", and there's nothing to discuss there.

I don’t know the kid.
No idea if he’s a psycho path.
But when you fuck up at the job you are trained to do and somebody dies, legal consequences should happen.

Same for a cop. Same for a doctor.
