Hurricane Irma Hurricane Irma don kill at least 14 people across di Caribbean; di latest place wey di tropical storm don enter na di Turks and Caicos Islands.

Na strong wind and rain with serious flood don batter different Caribbean islands, as Red Cross say Irma don affect like 1.2 million people so far, and dis number fit rise well-well reach 26 million.

Irma still cause some damage and flooding for Haiti, wey never still recover from di 2010 earthquake.

Meanwhile, as Irma suppose land for Florida, USA on Sunday, authorities don start to dey order people to run comot di area, for their own safety.

Irma back to Cat 5 just before it makes landfall in Cuba, 160 mph sustained.
New projections now show Irma likely to make landfall in Florida as a Cat 4 again though, so that's nice.

I think I have mom talked into going to a nearby shelter tomorrow. Here's hoping that fear holds strong by tomorrow, and gets her motivated to go. I don't know how there's a shelter 3-6' above sea level, but whatever. It's better than her place, 2 blocks from the Caloosahatchee.
