Five times in a row he went up against my buddy's Corvette and the Corvette left him in the dust every time, and that was about it for the Tesla, never brought it out to play again.
Now that is surprising.. Did he fail to use the "Launch" button?

I honestly don't know, I was just spectating, I'm undefeated against the Corvette, so I'm not stressing my engine until he beats the under card, but he never made it up to the big leagues, me and M3 guy were just watching from afar.

Point being though, up here in Canada, that Tesla costs more than a brand new GT-R, costs more than the top end Bimmer, and even if you could get it to work as advertised, 3.2 to 60, Gojira has still got you beat, and carbonfibre M3 is right there too, meanwhile, you got all these other problems with the Tesla, software crashes or whatever it is, while the Nissan is a daily driver which won't give you significantly more problems than a non high performance car, and as far as a status symbol goes, the Bimmer M3 Comp is like a Formula 1 car, so to go out and blow all that dough on a Telsa, when you could have had a GT-R, or even the BMW M3 Competition Package? What a waste.

You're going to pay more, to get less, plus gremlins up the ying-yang, just for the "privilege" of having to recharge batteries? Yeah, ah, no.

If you want to blow big money, just for the sake of blowing big money, on an overpriced piece of junk which is constantly in the shop? Just buy a Ferrari.

The customers don't seem overly happy about the cars or Tesla service,

https://www.consumeraffairs.com/automot ... otors.html
Additionally, we paid for the additional $8600 two weeks ago, we called them today to inquire why our number plates had not arrived and their answer "We did not submit your registration until you paid the additional $8600 for the auto pilot. WTF!!! I paid them over $120,000 and they held the registration hostage. These people are ** thugs. DO NOT BUY A TESLA FROM COSTA MESA. THEY WILL SCREW YOU!!! These people are arrogant and treat you like CRAP once you buy the car. I WILL NEVER BUY A TESLA AGAIN.
lol, he bought four of them before he had had enough.

If I couldn't afford the gas, I wouldn't buy a sports car in the first place, but since the "Green Energy" hydro-electric power prices have gone through the roof, charging a Tesla ain't in any way "free", they calculated the price in Ontario, and you basically save a $1000/year charging instead of using gas, charging also being a major pain in the ass as opposed to just gassing up, which, when it's a hundred thousand plus dollar car which is constantly breaking down, ain't much of a "deal" from where I'm sitting.

Yeah, those stories about them breaking all the time, repairs taking forever, and costing an arm and a leg don't paint a nice picture. Guess I'll just keep my eye on the Lincoln.

The Green Energy boondoggle pricing for power here, is just getting started, the price of electricity just keeps going up and up because the Liberals have locked us into guarunteed contracts for generations to come, the destruction of the electricity system in the name of "Green" has not even come home to roost yet, it's going to get worse, meanwhile, the price of oil is falling, so this would not be the time, up here at least, to be switching to "Green Power" electricity, that $1000/year is going to get whittled down as we go, and you're still stuck with the hundred thousand dollar Pinto, one out of warranty repair, and there goes your "savings" right there rigth thur, that is of course, if the lithium batteries don't just melt the thing to slag like a defective laptop on wheels, before you have a chance to pawn it off on the next suckah.

Newsflash, "cheap and plentiful Green Energy" is blowing up in everybody's faces, good ol' gasoline, is going to be the fuel of the future, people who went and switched from gas to electric here, are starting to find out now, that they have totally fucked themselves, the sprialing costs of the centrally planned Green Power boondoggle, has made electricity the most expensive commodity in the province now, by far.

How are you measuring that expense, exactly? By weight?

Inflation adjusted, my gas is cheaper than its been in forty years, while my electricity is ten times more expensive, I don't balk at my gas bill, even without inflation adjustment the gas price has actually gone down significantly, but when I get my hydro bill, I'm stunned, it's a question of cost benefit, what I pay for gas is about the same, if not cheaper, while what I pay for electricity has gone off the charts, people are losing their businesses and having to sell their dream homes, and it ain't because the price of gasoline, the Green Power boondoggle is literally breaking this province, it's a slow motion disaster which people are just starting to wake up to now, when it's too late.

You don't realize how much electricity you were using, until the price goes up ten times over, I can still afford the air conditioning, but a lot of people, not so much. Would I want to add charging a Tesla on top of my air conditioning bill? No thanks, gas is reasonbly priced down at Costco, and once you throw the price of Telsa maintenance on top of the power, there's no net savings.

Five years of warranty, you saved a big fat $5000, but once it's out of warranty, methinks you're going to be giving all that back, and much more.
