OK, let's do the math.
The British Monarchy took 300 years to kill 50 M............ 50 M / 3 Centuries = 16 Million per 100 years
Communism killed 100 Million in 100 yeas....................100M/ 1 Centuries = 100 Million per 100 years
100 / 16 = 6.25
Communism is 6.25 times more likely to kill you.
What about "capitalism"? How many in Korea, Iran, South America, Laos, Vietnam, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, ...?
What was the total cost in human lives of making the world safe for United Fruit Company?? (Much less BP, Exxon Mobil, etc)??
Ok, what about it. Do your math, let me know how it comes out.

Well, for me if someone says Commies are putting together an economy or running a country, I know it will end in nationalizing most everything, environmental destruction and people starving. So how is that not Commies bad ?
I formed my strongest opinions of Communism by talking with and getting to know former Communists.
Were do you think Communists got their dislike of free market capitalism?
At their worst, the results are indistinguishable.
They adopted it after being oppressed by monarchs - Even Marks said communism would fail. Know your history.
I know a fair amount of history, but not all of it. When and where are you referring too?
Anyways, I was referring to communists in general, not to any particular place, or time, and not on whether it would be successful, or not.

Whether or not it is an actually an achievable goal is debatable.

It's achievable, but I think it more likely that a species will colonize their own system first to the point where the whole thing is one big Dyson swarm. There's a tiny chance we already discovered such a system.
Traveling to other star systems is interesting, but it's not as efficient as just building habitats in orbit around your own star.

Funny that.
Probably from a lack of understanding of the purpose of capitalism.
Maybe, I only report it as I heard it.
I do know that capitalism typically requires growth, and growth requires resources... so there's that.
Which is one of the causes of European colonialism, with its attendant misery. Once you have grown as much as reasonable easy in your own country, where else do you go?

It does both... and the resources get got just the same.
if you do a study of colonialism, then Western,
and Soviet Block economics during the Cold War, they look remarkably alike. About the only differences are the labeling.

Hundreds of millions of deaths by each using all the means of both systems, or at least the systems
labeled communist, and capitalist.
It is goofy saying the other side kills fewer, or greater number of people, so it is better, or worse.

Do you want to live in China or Vietnam? Define "Latin America."
