If you have a pocket ultraviolet light, bring that with you, you can inspect surfaces with it
You can see the fingerprints all over everything
It's a Biological Geiger Counter and it also reminds you not to touch things

In terms of smoking if you're a smoker like me
Adopt military smokers protocol in the field
You don't move around smoking
You take designated smoke breaks in the smoking area
In this case that area is where you have handwashing avail
Stop, handwash, smoke, handwash, carry on

Well I think Nuke is a hero for risking life and limb to bring us back reports from the front.
Texas to Florida and back is quite a mission and should bring us some valuable information about how seriously people are taking this.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Italy is hot because there are so many old folks living with the young, in small high density country with a shitty healthcare system. The virus, at least so far, appears to thrive in cold, not heat, heat slows it down, that's why the southern hemisphere hasn't been hit as hard.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 6:33 pmMrs Smitty doesn't like mosquitoes anywaysSuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 6:27 pmNo idea if it’s blood borne... but if so, it means that everybody everywhere is indoors for the summer. And that will lead to a hot time indeed..Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 6:25 pmI'm not hoarding beyond my needs but I'm not handing any of my kit to the government willingly
One man, one kit.
What I am doing now is putting insect net around my outdoor room to keep the mosquitoes at bay
The aesthetic won't be as nice, but there's no guarantee that mosquitoes can't pass the bug
Who knows why Italy is so hot, maybe it's because it's hot there
She's entomophobic in the first place, that's why it spooks her so bad
It's not a disease, it's a Bug

The cold weather drives people indoors, that's why there is a flu season
I don't think the virus does well in cold, no other coronavirus does, it just does well indoors

Well if this virus does well in summer, then the Southern Hemisphere would be getting hit much harder right now. A lot of places in Northern Hemisphere closer to the equator haven't been hit so hard either, the hotspots aren't in warm climates right now, just saying. A lot of the experts seem to think that warm weather slows it down, at least a little bit.

This is more about dealing with my wife and keeping her calm, it's psychologicalStCapps wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 6:20 amWell if this virus does well in summer, then the Southern Hemisphere would be getting hit much harder right now.

Hey you don't even need a viral reason to put up mosquito nets, fuck mosquitoes, that's reason enough. If you want to tell the wife it might help and that makes her happy, go ahead, I'm just relaying some facts here, one of which is, there is no proof mosquitoes can transmit this thing and apparently hot weather slows down the coronavirus, for whatever reason.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 6:21 amThis is more about dealing with my wife and keeping her calm, it's psychological
