Worked that well? How many people did those systems kill? Stalinism of course being more successful than than Facism, and slavery was a rather successful system, did a lot of things, was definitely good for the slave holders, not so good for the slaves.StCapps wrote:Trump isn't Hitler, or Stalin, and neither of those systems worked that well. Trump is either the luckiest dumb person ever, or there is at least some method to his madness. The latter is far more likely to be true, I'm not buying the pure luck hypothesis, it does not fit.
Just because it works, doesn't mean that's a good thing.

Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean that it doesn't work. You may not like what Trump is doing, but that doesn't mean it isn't effective. Just because Stalin and Hitler were effective politicians that did shit that you didn't like, that doesn't mean that any effective politician who does shit you don't like is the next Stalin or Hitler. That isn't how it works.jediuser598 wrote:Just because it works, doesn't mean that's a good thing.

Since Trump got elected and his detractors don't have many actions they can bitch about, so they've resorted to grasping at straws by emphasizing his words and ignoring his actions because it makes Trump look worse that way.The Conservative wrote:Remind me again, when did words speak louder than actions?
They just want to vent and they don't care if they are venting about something that Trump wants them vent about by using jingly keys to distract them from his actions. It's not Trump's fault so many folks have ADD and can't focus fire on his actions as opposed to his words, he just exploiting it for personal gain. These folks would rather watch his mouth and ignore what his hands are doing, even if he's saying what he's saying to deliberately disguise what he's doing with his hands.
These people often seem to be able to tell when other politicians are obviously lying to them and they hardly ever take them at their word, but with Trump they pretend as if they should take him at his word all the time, so they can feign outrage when it becomes obvious he lied to benefit himself, just like any other politician. It's a fucking boring schtick and I'm really getting sick of the feigned naivete of the Trump haters on this forum.

Pretty much any time it involves a large organization. The Conservative wrote:Remind me again, when did words speak louder than actions?StCapps wrote:No he doesn't. If you are more willing to believe the words of any large organization and think they are more important than the actions of said organization, when it comes to determining what they are actually up to, then you're an idiot.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Pretty much any time it involves a large organization. The Conservative wrote:Remind me again, when did words speak louder than actions?StCapps wrote:No he doesn't. Stop getting distracted by jingly keys that are the words of politicians and focus on the actions of politicians, or you are going to get fooled by obvious lies a whole lot more than anyone with half a brain. Your choice.

Yeah I would think actions speak louder than words even on a large scale such as the US Gov
Watching today's press briefing, lot of questions on Trump's tweets so far https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvlTVVMWwWE
What did he mean when he said this? No but I mean what did he mean? Is that how he meant it? Why is he so mean? Does he mean to be so mean?

A politicians words are just advertising, you don't go around believing political advertising, so don't go around believing the words of some politician, Trump included. That's just a no brainer, yet some people on this forum can't figure this out because they would prefer to act outraged that a politician would dare lie for their own political benefit, the fucking horror.
Y'all might want to get used to politicians lying to you, and stop bitching about it like it's the end of the world, especially when it's the way of the world and you should be keen on that already. Quit feigning surprise.

I think that was one of my problems surrounding the Obama administration too, so much focus on words and not actions.
Another thing, I watched that post-Comey 13 minute Trump interview with Lester Holt, at no point did Holt ask Trump on who he planned to appoint as new FBI Director. Lot of questions on his words but not what actions he plans on taking. Disappointing.
