World War III? Ca'mon, they fired some Tomahawks at Shaylat airbase, way off in the north away from Damascus, nobody is starting World War III over that, it would be fun if the Russians retaliate somehow, I hope they do, but it's not like they're going to sink an aircraft carrier.Fife wrote:Who would have thought back in the 70s that a white-bread kid from boondocks west Tennessee would be talking with urban eastern Canucks in a thread about WORLD WAR III and the Tennessee NHL team against the yankeeassed NHL teams all in one thread in an internet forum hosted by a pointy-head from the PNW that is a remnant of a forum from another pointy-head from the PNW who used to at least talk a little game against World War III?'

Trump's interest, it's an obvious ploy to change up the domestic narrative with an overseas military distraction, whenever an administration is feeling like they are in trouble, whether it's Monica Lewinski or Ryancare, whipping out the TLAM's is the go to play.TheReal_ND wrote:WHO'S interest?

It doesn't even make any sense. Assad and the Russians have made huge gains against the Islamic State in recent months. They are finishing the thing up. They had no reason to use chemical weapons at all.
The footage I am seeing looks FAKE FAKE FAKE as well.
What the fuck, Trump. I know he is smart enough to see through it, so I have to assume he wants this.
War with Russia could be in our near future, folks. I guess it didn't matter who we elected.

Meh, I'll admit some hyperbole. After all, I'm really talking about a crowd of Swedes and Canucks getting paid millions in Nashville to entertain a bunch of sub-40 hipster children of displaced migrant Michigan union auto workers blowing their cash on hockey tickets and overpriced Jack Daniels.Smitty-48 wrote:World War III? As long as no Russians were killed I would say this is a win.
Russia's response will likely be "not again" and Trump just put Putin in a tough spot. He can't walk away looking like a bitch.
