Those all sound like time management and priority problems.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 1:00 pmI would instantly recover 40 hrs/ week of my life, for one. Your liberty, well-being, nutrition, and everything else are dependent on your wealth. You'll have a hard time surviving as a hunter-gatherer in 2020, but I suppose it's possible. Whether you'd consider that a life worth living is up to you as well.
That wealth is indirectly funneled to ConglomoMax - ergo, your liberty is lessened by them.
Let's put this another way: if you had limitless resources, what could you do with all this extra liberty you believe this wealth would facilitate that you can't currently do with different priorities and better resource management?
Given greater resources, I’d own a farm and produce organic, healthy food for my loved ones. Master more hobbies/crafts. Travel the world. Taste more exotic foods. Write a book of wysdom like Hashie. See my favorite sports teams and artists perform live. Maybe even demonstrate for issues that I care about.
The possibilities are literally endless. And unreachable from hoarding my remaining tokens harder.
Sure, my skill set will continue to improve, and I’ll earn more tokens for my precious time, but that is lost nonetheless. While those born with ConglomoMax stock certificates live a life of ease from my labors and lifetime.
Can you not set aside 45 minutes a day to write? You have spent some small amount of time today writing in an attempt to convince me that I am not free because of taxes and Jeff Bezos. Put it in a book, bruh.
Do you not currently get to grow food on your land? Is this not edifying? If it is less edifying than travel, you can travel more and garden less with a priority adjustment.
If you find you are working too much, are there no expenses you could get rid of to increase your free time? If not, is this because of 'crony-capitalism' or because you have chosen to prioritize things that require "tokens?"
Do you believe your "tokens" would have more value with fewer large corporations? Why?
Do you believe that tremendously wealthy people don't have problems with time management or finding time for family commitments or doing the things they find edifying? They do.
