I am reminded of when they lambasted George W. Bush for clearing all the brush out on his property as some kind of publicity stunt. They really have no idea. No wonder California is on fire.

My point is that you could drop a lake on that thing, and it wouldn't have any effect. It's fought with firewalls, and bulldozers, not water hoses.

I have exactly zero fire-fighting experience.
I noticed.

Firewall is a band of land that remains barren of trees and minimal brush so when a fire does start it may not stop it entirely, but it has a chance to give time for the firefighters to stop, or kill the fire itself.

It will under most circumstances halt a fire temporarily and it may kill it if the fire can’t jump to another fuel source.

Like all firewalls, they aren’t impervious, so to say it will stop all fires is ludicrous.

With controlled fires, destroying old brush and working so that if a fire does happen it won’t have old brush and dead growth to grow on.

This is what CA has banned. Logical fire control. Proactive fire control instead of reactive fire control.

"We have plenty of water to fight these fires," Deputy Cal Fire Chief Scott McLean said in a statement. "The Carr fire has Whiskeytown Lake, Shasta Lake and Trinity Lake just to name a few water sources. The Mendocino Complex is next to Clearlake Lake. The current weather is causing more severe and destructive fires."

Firefighters in California use multiple strategies to contain wildfires, including dropping water or fire suppressants from aircraft and using bulldozers and other tools to remove fuel from the path of the fire.

Researchers took issue with the president's comments on Twitter, saying that he was likely referencing state laws that manage water in rivers to protect endangered fish populations.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

They are creating firewalls after the fire started, not maintaining the firewall before the fire started... again, reactive instead of proactive.

Notice he completely abandoned his claim that water isn't used to fight forest fires.

It's funny, because he read that shit on one of his lefty fake news sites, and thought he could repeat it in here and not get called on it.

Also, very possible west climate is reverting back to full desert.
