right, except Susan Rice & Co are prone to half measures, whereas John Lehman instituted peace through strength
NeoCons are not a monolith, some are more bad ass than others, for example my faction, the Thatcherites
I'm a Libertyist, as you know: my team lost big time so I'll just watch the Fascists vs. Commies for entertainment, with you providing ringside color commentary.
there was the same split between the NeoCons in the Bush administration after 9-11
half the NeoCons sided with Cheney, but the other half didn't
it's like General Shinseki, you don't think he's a NeoCon ? Of course he is, but it's not a monolith
I'm just putting up this definition for lurkers:
A Fascist is a authoritarian who thinks corporations should run the world, and a Communist is an authoritarian who thinks the State should: they are both cosmopolitan Elitists.
A Libertyist believes government's only purpose is to facilitate liberty: if that's not the case then the government is illegitimate. The Civil War was obviously Fascist but settled back into liberty. It seems highly unlikely the next civil war will do the same?

Fascism is not a monolith neither, Mussolini's definition was not the same as Franco's for example
in Spain, the Falange was anti corporate, their cause was defending the church and associated monarchy

If that's true, it's more authoritarian status quo vs. authoritarian State

by that definition "Libertyist" simply means Confederate
you are adopting the position of the Confederacy
to wit, the Union is simply a gentleman's agreement, when it doesn't suit your interests, you can walk away
the Union's position was no, you can't opt out, there is no opt out clause
America is a crusade for freedom against the wicked, and you are subject to being conscripted into that

the Fascist position is often that the church & state are the same thing
most Fascists have been Hispanic Roman Catholic dictators

What makes the Civil War worse was that at the time those States DID have the Right to secede; Lincoln was indeed the Fascist. Liberty is a rare flower that survived that conflagration but didn't this one.

the argument was settled at Gettysburg by the Army of the Potomac
it's like I am only half American, but by asserting that I know what I am signing up for
I have no quarrel with Marse Robert, but even Marse Robert came back to the Glorious Union in the end

Authoritarianism is the default: the fact that liberty survived at all almost makes me believe in a god, except this time no dice.
p.s. It was this forum that clarified for me what the lines were. Anybody who doesn't read here has little chance of knowing what's going on?
