The people who don't like the fascists are usually the people who don't like the strong arm tactics used against them...
Usually some component of the people living under fascism.
So the threat to fascism comes from within, not without...
Hence why I remain relatively unconcerned about being on the receiving end of the weaponry.

Nobody said you should be concerned about launch on warning hair trigger alert, it's beyond your control, and everybody gotta die sometime anyways, so why worry?

I mean, you asked what the greatest threat was, and it is clearly, by far and away, many orders of magnitude, launch on false warning thermonuclear exchange.
Fascism is not actually much of a threat, unless you're a lefty, but if you're not a lefty, nothing to worry about, Fascism can be both fun and profitable.

Hitler was elected last time I checked, and five years later, the German economy was leading the world out of the Depression and the NSDAP had an 89% approval rating, the Germans called Hitler "General Bloodless" because had overthrown Versailles nary a shot fired, what's the problem?

Well, Imperial Germany was born in the Modern West, in 1854, never was a liberal democracy, but it was doing just fine, Hohenzollern even had a modern social welfare state, they invented that in fact, and there wasn't any problems, until France and Russia attacked them on behalf of Serbia.

USA or France... American Revolution or French?
The French seemed to have laid the Marxist egg... that birthed the Napoleonic Chicken...
And the Americans... more of a Republic wasn't it... until the response to the Russian Revolution inspired the liberal welfare state...
Always an effort to avoid the Chicken and Egg cycle... reasonably successful so far... wot?
Always the risk of a Gilded age provoking the Marxist Egg tho... and the Marxists are hungry for their Bernie savior.
