I’m going to take you as sincere:
We agree, liberty-minded folks MUST break the egalitarian monopoly in public schools, or there is NO winning the war.

I heard that kids tend to be more conservative coming out of high school, and don't start leaning heavily left until college. So I'm not sure how much changing primary and secondary school will change political leanings.

Teachers that don't teach the curriculum is the problem, teachers that go off the rails left are the problem, they are protected by the union, no matter how many times people complain, they are protected.Hanarchy Montanarchy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 10, 2020 3:06 pmMaking it easier to fire teachers is not the solution to this problem. This will only create more of the ideological conformity we all despise, because the teachers that need job protection are the ones that are speaking out against the SJW ideology and curriculum. The Conservative wrote: ↑Fri Jul 10, 2020 2:11 pmYou don't start off at the head, you start at the base, you start off with the unions, the teachers and the school boards... you take away the foundation and support system, then you go for the head.Hanarchy Montanarchy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 10, 2020 1:10 pmMaybe.
The point is that arguing about the definition of racism with someone that will never agree with you is a waste of social capital and an opportunity cost. Wasting political capital on acrimony and recrimination is an opportunity cost. Trying to purge leadership positions of SJWs is cutting off single heads of a Hydra, and a waste of political capital.
These are not the tactics that SJWs used to gain power, and they are no the tactics that will reduce their power.
You get to fire bad teachers, force the ones that should have been fired decades ago into forced retirement, and start working your way up the food chain.
Then when the top starts pushing back, take them off at the knees, and show them what it really means to kneel.
I worked in school systems in the first half of my career, I saw corruption, abuse of power, and straight out theft. I saw cities go from 3 million surpluses to a 3 million deficit as soon as the superintendent left. I have seen politics played, I have seen unions abuse their position...they have told teachers to walk because the unions weren't getting what they wanted, and in some cases, it was an election year and they wanted to make trouble with the elected officials so it would look like the schools were unhappy.
Mass has some of the best-paid teachers in the union, yet we are told they can't get stuff for their classes? Excuse me?
Mass gets almost 17k per student, we are rolling in the fucking money, but it's going somewhere, and that somewhere isn't the school systems. The unions are corrupt, the teachers are Leftists, and they are brainwashing our children.
If you want to solve this issue, you need to take back the school systems from the Leftists, and firing not only the teachers but removing corrupt employees, is the first step to do so. If the corruption was really cancer, we'd say the person is on life support and waiting for the plug to be pulled.

They've taken care of that in recent years. Here's an example.
My wife is a K-5 Librarian. They have a policy to promote award winning children's books in schools. Seemingly a good policy...…………… but who decides what books win awards.
My wife gets a book on kids choosing their gender, its about a transgender primary school kid. Now she's supposed to promote this book in school. My wife is sharp, she found a work around, the book is available, but definitely not promoted in her school.

You don't live in Mass... we have an issue with bad teachers. Your rules of logic and giving raises to people who deserve them is a fallacy here. They are given to those who tow the line and don't speak out, or do things to harm the "progressive message".C-Mag wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 12:24 amNegative. The Conservative wrote: ↑Fri Jul 10, 2020 4:53 pm

Massachusetts and California are nearly identical in their education systems... where do you think the big brains go to school to get a "good education" The majority of those schools are here in Mass... and the leftist/socialist mindset is not only taught as a suggestion but in some cases a mandatory line to graduate schools around here.
We are not going to win this by sitting back and ignoring that the "Conservative voice" has been shut down in the schools and that for every 1 conservative teacher, there are between 10 to 12 Leftists...
you can't debate or argue this point when the deck is stacked against you, and a system in place of decades is entrenched the very fabric of the system.
