What bothers me most about that article DB linked..

They operate from the assumption that failing is necessarily worse than not trying. If you have an idea you think can work and want to pursue it, then great. Pursue that idea. If you fail, then start over. Get a job working for somebody else. Employers are usually very interested in people who tried at some business but failed. Failure doesn't mean your life is over anymore than getting laid off from your job is life-ending. Your attempt was experience. Actually solid experience that pays off in the corporate world. You have drive and they can harness that.

You know what corporate executives fucking do NOT want at all? People like the surrender clown who wrote that article. No drive. No ambition. No initiative. He just wants to sit in a cube all day, doing the minimum required, and collect his check. Hard pass.
