and then investigation things like the universe and black holes. As he was in this race to do something astonishing find

I mean really, Hawking radiation? Hawking is far better known for his "science entertainment", popularization of science with books
like "A Brief History of Time" that gave him money to fight his disease.

Hawking radiation wasn't worth a Nobel prize in Physics, actually.

I wonder if, after the Roman siege of Syracuse and the death of Archimedes, there were some pleb Roman soldiers saying: that Archimedes guy was overrated anyway. What did he ever accomplish, really?
