He was one of the most important minds of our time.
:hand:

Most important minds IN THE MEDIA. Big difference.

For the media he was a romantic figure, a scientist struggling against an inevitable uncurable disease that slowly would kill him
and then investigation things like the universe and black holes. As he was in this race to do something astonishing find
or perish to ALS.

I mean really, Hawking radiation? Hawking is far better known for his "science entertainment", popularization of science with books
like "A Brief History of Time" that gave him money to fight his disease.

Hawking radiation wasn't worth a Nobel prize in Physics, actually.

What theory did he create?

I've mentioned Hawking radiation.

His science popularization book that I mentioned sold 10 million. He was on science shows all the time.

That's why he's dubbed as the "greatest" mind of our time. That's the reason.

Witty jokester sometimes, but when it comes to the science... same category as a lot of other people.

So he's just like everyone else because you don't understand his work?

He wrote the book on black holes and time dilation (literally). Do some research.

I wonder if, after the Roman siege of Syracuse and the death of Archimedes, there were some pleb Roman soldiers saying: that Archimedes guy was overrated anyway. What did he ever accomplish, really? My cousin invented the penis signs and now owns half the brothels in Capua. Did Archimedes ever figure out anything like that?

God I love humanity some days.
