Theyre paying out all February benefits by Jan 20th.

Prepare for a crime wave, mid-February, when all that shit is spent.

I did a little math and found that the US government spends, of $4.4T annually, $12 billion per day ($139,000 per second). So we'd collectively be giving up half a day to pay for the wall. I'm leaning towards team-just give it to him at this point, who cares, it's all paper money anyway

Yeah, pretending that Congress or the American people really care about money is a little disengenous at this point. We have operated this country since 2008 without a budget. The only opposition to spending in recent memory was the Tea Party, they got some folks elected and got coopted by the deep state pretty quickly, then became irrelevant.pineapplemike wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 6:29 pmI did a little math and found that the US government spends, of $4.4T annually, $12 billion per day ($139,000 per second). That doesn't take into account the environmental impact of the wall.pineapplemike wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 6:29 pmI did a little math and found that the US government spends, of $4.4T annually, $12 billion per day ($139,000 per second). Plus, if you think that government contractors can build the whole wall for 5 billion you are an eternal optimist.
Providing all the steel will be great for China's economy though...
The future revelation that the contractors paid illegals to build it will be deliciously ironic so I'm on the fence now (excuse the pun).
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

You're right...……….. It would stop this environmental destructionMontegriffo wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 3:16 amThat doesn't take into account the environmental impact of the wall.pineapplemike wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 6:29 pmI did a little math and found that the US government spends, of $4.4T annually, $12 billion per day ($139,000 per second). Has anyone even estimated its carbon footprint?C-Mag wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 10:24 amYou're right...……….. Or the effect on the price of steel when you build a 2000 mile wall made from it?

Has anyone measured the carbon footprint of extending healthcare to all citizens?
Or wait ... we only care about the carbon footprint of conservative policies, right?

Carbon Footprints are modern day Indulgences, sold by the State to absolve sins. Fuck Carbon Footprints.
My Carbon Footprint is negative, but the State won't let me offset carbon use and carbon storage like they will corporations so I say fuck them.
Environmental Justice cares more about Corporations than individuals.

Once all the sick children, the old people, and those incapable of contributing to the social good stop exhaling all that CO2, the footprint begins to move towards neutrality, and then a huge net positive.
