Defending the Olympics on this one, clearly all Hastur cares about is that Sweden gets more medals. He doesn't care about sports, entertainment, or economics, just the Swedish medal count.

No NHL Players, No Russian's, Worst Winter Olympics Ever. Thanks IOC.

Sheesh - cynic much? Some of you are crying "political!!!" as if that's some golden nugget of wisdom and you are letting us all in on the secret.

FFS - everything is political. It's how humans interact. There's politics everywhere - work, home and the 3rd grade school yard.

Most of the athletes don't care. They just want to compete. Timers don't lie; touchpads don't lie and for the most part, the judges in the subjective "sports" get it right.

So, it's disappointing that Russia will not be there. They are such a presence. But, it is what it is.

Pro tip - if you hate everything about The Olympics, don't watch them and maybe don't obsess over them. Find something to obsess about that you enjoy.

My point is they don't even want to make money, they'd rather play politics than persue their own self interest, and that is unusual. These are some crazy fucked up ideologues running shit over at the IOC, crazier than most. Usually when the sports gets impeded on by a sporting organization, it's because of entertainment or economics, so when those things get trampled on for political virtue signaling, that strikes me as odd.

It doesn't strike you as odd that they would leave a lot of money on the table, just to virtue signal about PEDs and Russia? That sure strikes me as odd, when politics and the money don't line up, people usually choose the money over politics, but not the IOC, they are just weird like that.

To be fair the hockey fiasco is the NHL's fault, not the IOC. I think Sweden suffers more than most teams from not being able to include NHL players. Now I think the KHL will do the same thing which makes it even worse.

No it's both their faults, fuck them both and their idiotic game of chicken. Does no one like money anymore? Seriously what faggots, the IOC should have bent over backwards to get the NHL to show, and the NHL should have bent over backwards to get their players in the Olympics, but they both had too much pride and had to play chicken instead, and now everyone loses.

Everybody loses, especially the IOC and the NHL, they are fucking retarded, running around cutting their nose off to spite their face, the both of them. All just to play politics while leaving a bunch of money on the table, what a waste.

So, what's going to happen if Ustiugov is in the lead in cross country skiing, and picks up a Russian flag right before crossing the finishing line?

Will he lose his medal? Will people take the flag away from him?
