That is what happens when government takes over like they did student loans. They will get their money and you better love it. Too bad our government fetishist (like the 2 above) don't understand that.

Still don't deny your love of government. I tell hard truths, you peddle flaccid lies.GrumpyCatFace wrote:clubgop wrote:That is what happens when government takes over like they did student loans. Government is like any tool. You can build a house with a hammer, or beat someone's brains in. The latter doesn't mean hammers are inherently bad. Governments go bad when captured by a narrow group who then uses it for their benefit.clubgop wrote: Still don't deny your love of government. I tell hard truths, you peddle flaccid lies.[/size]
Back to the OP, these kinds of hidden taxes are getting more and more popular. Here in NJ they've tacked all sorts of surcharges on traffic tickets, because there's no large enough constituency of violators to vote against it.
$6 is tacked onto the fine amount, and that money is divided into five designated "funds" that are managed by the state: Body Armor Replacement Fund ($1), New Jersey Spinal Cord Research Fund ($1), Autism Medical Research and Treatment Fund ($1), Forensic DNA Laboratory Fund ($2), and the New Jersey Brain Injury Research Fund ($1).
We are only accustomed to dealing with like twenty online personas at a time so when we only have about ten people some people have to be strawmanned in order to advance our same relative go nowhere nonsense positions. -TheReal_ND

Sounds like a hammer. You love the hammer, you want the hammer. Stuck in the 90's yelling out hammer time!brewster wrote:Government is like any tool. I think, in fact, we are seeing the beginning of the end of the city as a concept. At current trends, the city as a social construct may become an anachronism.

Sure, you can build a house with a gun, by pointing it at a carpenter. Otherwise, not much creativity there.clubgop wrote:brewster wrote:
