I could style that no problem. Winter is coming up and a fashionable jacket like that might help me get some of that orlando side trim. I might be able to wear that jacket on my special day!

Ive got a good feeling about this birthday! People always look at the negative stuff happening in the world, but complete strangers are capable of kindness and altruism. I am inspired by this. I bring a lot to this forum and often deliver high quality and thought provoking content, and I could actually request money for delivering the posts I do on a regular basis. But I didnt have to charge money for my enormously valuable posts though, because people on this forum did the right thing and have promised me great birthday presents! This has given a reason to keep going. I am going to keep thinking of great ideas for presents and use it to help me carry through these rough times. I spoil myself, but I do deserve it. Thank you all for everything you do!

I remember when I was a kid and we used to wear jackets as a fashion statement. Nobody needs jackets in Orlando. It gets like 45 a few nights of the year. That's about it. On the few occasions it gets colder, everybody freaks out, the people on the local news flash emergency bulletins that it will get below freezing.

It's pretty funny in hindsight.

I tell you what, when I went backpacking on the Appalachian trail, I needed a jacket in the mornjng! I watched the fog come in like sheets at night from Blood Mountain (I think). One of the most beautiful sights I ever saw outdoors. We camped up there on a rock face, and I looked down into the valley and could see for miles, until it got foggy. Then I couldnt see my hand in front of me. In the morning, it was freezing and raining. My hands were so cold I couldnt even tie the laces on my boots. I froze all day, but it was worth it for that view! I dont know how cold the part of North Carolina you live in gets, but wjen I was there it was no joke.

It doesn't get too cold here. This is the southern Appalachians. It depends on your elevation, though. Up high it can get pretty cold. I have gone up Mt Pisqah to escape the heat before. It's like twenty degrees cooler up there.

We dont have peaks like that in Florida, but the Smokeys and Appalachians are essential for any outdoorsman. Ive been out West and all over the country, but some of my favorite trips involved those mountain ranges. Really beautiful part of the country.

Sounds like So Cal

San Diego was ridiculous though. I remember one fall day I was driving into work and it was a fairly overcast day. All the women took it as a cue to bust out the boots and scarfs and bullshit. Then I looked at my car thermometer

It was 70°
