There was a moment in the development of each of my 3 kids when we did the Down's and genetic testing in utero, and that was a butt-clenching moment for me, no mistake. I seriously contemplated my life raising a defective kid for the remainder of my life, and decided that I wouldn't choose it. You're free to choose differently, of course, but I demand my right not to be condemned to a life sentence for a bad roll of dice.
