I'm all for other countries spending more if they want to. But I never need "full-Spectrum dominance over 2-3 theaters, and capability to end the world". Now that we have that, we still spend trillions on new shit? Wtf for, martians?

I'm knee jerk increased military for the US (which is your military as well, and you know it). I'm also knee jerk resistant to spending billions on new shit while my taxes are raised, and the world reserve currency teeters toward insolvency. You should be too, if you're smart.

lasers are cheap to use once installed. Something like a dollar a shot iirc. I posted an article about it somewhere in the Syria thread not too long ago. They are already equipping them but they will mostly be used for drones. They can use them against missiles probably but they are kind of waiting for the next upgraded one to do specifically that.

Also this rail gun should be fairly cheap to use as well. It just slugs inert metal. Probably depleted uranium or something.
