I would agree - except for the fact that our social programs are falling apart because the left thinks the American tax payer must foot the bill to bring the entire 3rd world out of poverty.....

Now, if we could just divert the MIC from war machines to space mining.....
We could probably end global poverty with our military budget alone. Hunger, certainly.

Lolz - no. Third worlders need to drop their belief in witchcraft first....and the Muzzies need to stop being Muzzies....No amount of charity is going to fix the Middle East or Africa....the problem is the culture, not a lack of resources.......

South America, however, may be worth sinking some $$$ into......

That is a ridiculous assertion, it's no wonder you are so knee jerk anti-military and think all military spending is useless, you're just an idiotic pacifist who thinks government spending on war is the cause of all the world's problems and it would one-world kumbaya if they spent it elsewhere. Well the world doesn't work that way, so grow up, reality is more complicated than your simplistic worldview, who knew?

"The US military budget could solve world hunger, and maybe end poverty". I don't think you've ever said anything more silly in your entire life. That is next level rose colored glasses pacifism, right thur

Like "getting past a wall doesn't make it useless", right?

There's a vast middle ground between omg we need to buy lazors and seeing no use for the worlds most expensive military to get more expensive.

You seem completely unaware of that middle ground, to you everything is obsolete. You are knee jerk anti-military and everyone knows it.

I'm all for other countries spending more if they want to. But I never need "full-Spectrum dominance over 2-3 theaters, and capability to end the world". Now that we have that, we still spend trillions on new shit? Wtf for, martians?

I'm knee jerk increased military for the US (which is your military as well, and you know it). I'm also knee jerk resistant to spending billions on new shit while my taxes are raised, and the world reserve currency teeters toward insolvency. You should be too, if you're smart.

lasers are cheap to use once installed. Something like a dollar a shot iirc. I posted an article about it somewhere in the Syria thread not too long ago. They are already equipping them but they will mostly be used for drones. They can use them against missiles probably but they are kind of waiting for the next upgraded one to do specifically that.

Also this rail gun should be fairly cheap to use as well. It just slugs inert metal. Probably depleted uranium or something.

Yeah, if you measure costs on a per-round basis, then the F35 is free.

No its insanely expensive to operate let alone put ordinance on. Tomahawks are a quarter million a shot. That's probably high end ball park for one f-35 missile.
