Well I only ask because I had heard that they taught kids about household budgeting and how to balance a checkbook, that sort of thing. Useful stuff.BjornP wrote:In the barbarian wastelands of the America after "The Decline", as it came to be known, parents would be taking responsibility for their kids not getting fat and learning to cook. I found out that mitochondria had a lot to do with my chronic pain. I had to treat that situation with supplements.
People with chronic pain may want to try high-intensity exercise to support their mitochondria. Supplement with magnisium malate and a few other things.
I have tried research chemicals that are supposed to boost this stuff, but didn't notice an effect.

that's some irony. In sexual reproduction, mitochondria are normally inherited exclusively from the mother; the mitochondria in mammalian sperm are usually destroyed by the egg cell after fertilization.

Students graduating from high school don't need to understand how, for example, money works, nor do we need to learn any lessons whatsoever from the 20th Century, all you need to know is that the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, and the name of every bone in the human hand.Okeefenokee wrote:the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.

If they could do that, they'd be more qualified than the average VA doctor. So it would be a step in the right direction, honestly.

People who graduated around the millennium are not millenialsMartin Hash wrote:The names of these generations are starting to get all confused. The "Millennials" you're referring to were born around the Millennium. The "Millennials" of our past discussions were people who graduated from High School around the Millennium.
All the Boomer-bashing or Millennial-bashing is a sign of envy, spite & resentment. I will not contribute to any further discussion of them.
Xennials
Microgeneration born between 1977-1983
People my age simply have too unique of an experience as it relates to technology to be considered in the same group as Millennials or Generation X
