Hillary's still out there saying misogyny cost her the election but those same folks support Le Pen.Montegriffo wrote:Meanwhile in the real world the polls are 62% to 38% in favour of Macron.
Sorry Nuke but your girl ain't winning no matter how much fake news the right wing trolls generate.

I think Marine Le Pen is kind of hot in a old person sort of way.

The French polls were very accurate in the first round, within 1% in most cases. The dream is over, nationalism has been rejected. Same in the UK with the death of UKIP.TheReal_ND wrote:

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Does anyone really think that this is the high-water-mark of Nationalism? Jesus, the problems are getting worse, not better. For example, the U.S. Unemployment Rate is listed at some ridiculously low number. My god, it only measures people on Unemployment. You have to have a job to go on Unemployment. Many Millennials have never had a real job.

I think it's the highwater mark for my people. Err... rather the tide is going out.

Eh, anytime I've tried to explain to most people I know how the unemployment calculation was rigged in the early 80s, and CPI I thin both then and again in '96 under Clinton, their eyes glass over and they either stop listening or come up with excuses why it doesn't matter.Martin Hash wrote:Does anyone really think that this is the high-water-mark of Nationalism? Those numbers have been a joke for decades. Reagan used the military numbers to boost overall his unemployment stats. Under Clinton, the way they started counting those stats is by looking at people who had been unemployed for six months or less, and for people who worked less than 21 hours. So in reality, the people that probably need work the most are not counted.

Yeah. After six months of unemployment it's pretty clear you're not looking for a job so I have no problem taking them off the rolls if the goal is to only count people that are looking for work and actually need it.
