Hillary's official political is over, so you're gonna need a new punching bag for the next two years, at least. Luckily for the Republicans, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer will be around for those 2 years, so they'll have a reliable punching bag or two when they need one. Too bad for them Harry Reid saw the writing on the wall and bailed, he's a solid bag to punch if need be.

What other roles does the head of the DNC have during non-election years? Is the leader of the DNC considered the effective leader of the party? I always thought the minority leaders in Congress played more of a leadership role than whichever flunky is running the national committees, but I could be wrong
