The CCP is in a very weak position, which is why they are barking so loudly right now. China's 20+ year outlook is very poor, but they are still the largest external threat America and the West. As long as we treat them as a serious threat, it will be much like the Soviet Union where if we wait long enough they will either reform to more western standards or collapse from within. Right now they are desperate to gain influence with everyone in order to manipulate and exploit everyone to their advantage to change their future.

India is likely to be the next China, the next country the West pumps a lot of money into. Being an less insular society and not a top down dictatorship, it is much more likely to be a positive partner than China has been.
Less landlocked than Germany and just as surrounded by enemies….
