Have to say that we have the similar Presidential election method as in France, works really well in multi-party system. Unfortunately, as they kicked out a similar "electoral college" in this country, they also took away a lot of the powers of the President and basically now the most important job is of the prime minister. Which in itself is chosen By the political parties themselves (when forming a government).
Yep, politicians hate the straight vote.
