The biggest difference is you have a constitutional amendment that protects gun rights and we do not. Yet our government hasn't taken everyone's guns away despite that lack of constitutional protection. You oversell our lack freedom out of a misguided sense of patriotism but pretending Canada is less free than it actually is doesn't actually make America any freer.
