But I have attempted to use my hatred of the job as a force to get into something better. Its a slow process, but it has given me a modicum of hope. Use your anger to do the same. Well maybe I'm just projecting. I just remember spraying bugs and cleaning carpets, or some other not worthy of respect job, trying to save money for "school", which always seemed like an abstraction. I didn't have anyone to tell me what to do and it was stressful and embarrassing. I'm just saying I can commiserate.

But, the funny thing is, I was way more lefty then, and so me and the other guys would bitch about the system. Well, they didn't make any attempt to do anything better, and now they're still doing the same thing, and still hoping that Bernie will come and save them rather then trying to do something else. So, I hope for jedi's sake he's trying to make somethin' from nothin', cus maybe in 10 years time, he'll look back and see that the grind was something he had to go through to get somewhere better.

I think everyone here has had to pretty much work their way up through the shit strata of crappy jobs. I stood by a pizza oven making pies all summer in Florida. Ran wheelbarrows of concrete as a laborer for a masonry company, puking my guts out with exertion some days. Did a year of soul crushing call center fundraising work, sold cameras at Circuit City etc, etc.
