American blacks had no other culture. We stripped their ancestors of religion, culture, history, and values. They still created their own subculture.

That's because they lived very differently from the white folk in the surrounding culture, and lived very different lives than them before they were enslaved, so what did you expect? Them to be just like the white folk who enslaved them?

Uh.. you are the one ranting here. I just posted out that your and others fallacious assertions aimed at Nukedog were not only baseless but pretty obviously wrong. We can all look around the world and see that different races of people tend to produce their own unique kinds of cultures, even when they both live in the same country.

Then your argument is undermined. If all races are going to have different cultures because they just started out in unique places, and there's nothing we can do about that, then there's no way we can allow for unfettered immigration from different cultures.

But we already know from the American experiment that we assimilated every culture from the European continent just fine into the same thing. I can't tell the fucking difference between a guy who is a third generation Italian and a guy who is a third generation Irish based on anything but appearance, because culturally they are the same fucking thing. But blacks, having been here for a lot fucking longer than three generations all have their own unique culture here.

Yet, even if it were true what you say, it would make immigration from other racial areas even more untenable than just different European ethnic groups.
