Derp derp
The urbane left, they literally live in their own little world when it comes to guns, not only do they know nothing about guns, but they don't even know what the laws are, the left here in Canada, in the cities, they think the laws here are much stricter than they actually are, they think everything is treated like restricted class, when only handguns and automatic weapons are restricted class, in terms of hunting rifles and pump action shotguns, it's actually pretty wide open here, background check, one day safety course, and that's it, you can head on down to Canadian Tire and buy yourself a gun, enjoy.
But even for restricted class, you want an automatic rifle? One extra day of safety class, and that's it, you're in. It's really just a money grab, almost all of the firearms safety instructors are ex-cops, so it's really just a make work job for them. Is the course useful? If you know absolutely nothing about guns, it could be, it's basically like one day of safety lectures in the army.

Oh I get the gist. I am the defendant because someone else did something stupid, I have to prove your negative.Kath wrote:You are an idiot if you can't grasp gist of my simple question.clubgop wrote:

Re: LET'S BAN GUNS!
Also bear in mind, this Canadian gun control law we have now, it's relatively recent, this was only imposed by the liberals in the 1990's, and you guessed it, in the urbane leftist moral panic after a mass shooting, but there's been more shootings in Canada since this law was put in place, there wasn't a lot of mass shootings back in the 80's, when we were armed to the teeth.
Back when I joined the army, we kept our own personal weapons in our barracks room, there was gun lockers in the room for locking up our service rifles, but there was lots of extra slots, so we had our own automatic rilfes in our rooms too, you name it, AK-47's, Steyr AUG, FN FAL's, AR's, and thirty round mags stacked in our foot lockers, the difference between us and the Americans back then, was really nothing for all intents and purposes, and yet there's more shootings in Canada now, way more.
Back in the 80's, nobody even paid attention to what the law was, never occured to most people to find out if they could buy a Steyr AUG, only gun nuts even cared, and back then, that was such a small percentage of the population, we just flew under the liberal legislative radar.

As soon as you can clearly define what an assault rifle is or a weapon of peace maybe you could let us know. Thanks for demonstrating the only thing you have going for you is word fukery. You only want to imprison people that disagree with you it's not like you should know what you are talking about.Montegriffo wrote:I think it's time to stop using negative terms such as ''assault rifles'' from now on they should be refered to as weapons of peace.

The only real world difference is the five round magazine limit, but honestly, I don't even care anymore, that would have bugged me when I was 17 and a buck private, but at this point, automatic rifles hold no mystery nor particular cache, I don't even want one, there's other things I'd rather blow my money on now.DBTrek wrote:Which is why they're always busy building a bigger, better, radar.Smitty-48 wrote:Back in the 80's, nobody even paid attention to what the law was, never occured to most people to find out if they could buy a Steyr AUG, only gun nuts even cared, and back then, that was such a small percentage of the population, we just flew under the liberal legislative radar.

The shotgun is cheap, the 870 is the value pick, jack of all trades, and way less paper work, and I don't really have any use for an AR, and since I had to carry one around like a ball and chain for all those years, I have no interest neither, AR15, that feels like work, 870 pump, that's like vacation.clubgop wrote:Waste of ammo.Smitty-48 wrote:The only real world difference is the five round magazine limit, but honestly, I don't even care anymore, that would have bugged me when I was 17 and a buck private, but at this point, automatic rifles hold no mystery nor particular cache, I don't even want one, there's other things I'd rather blow my money on now.DBTrek wrote:
