The racists in the Solid South went from Democratic Party to the Republican Party in the 1960s-1970s.

As for the Ku Klu Klan, they started as a Southern organization, became embedded in the Southern Democratic Party, and later franchised themselves into the national party and the entire country.

I have plenty of problems with much of the Left, liberals, neoliberalism and most especially with the so call "Liberal" Democratic Party, them being the kinder, gentler example of fellators of the wealthy, purveyors of corruption, and feckless incompetent idiots who got us the Orange One because they thought urinating on the poor, and working class, especially if they were white was a good idea.

I pray, hope, and believe that Party is going the way of the Whigs as it die with Hellfire and the ashes sprinkle with Holy water. Maybe then the many good people working for them, and the many who depend on them can find, or create a political party that will do just that.

If it is about cash welfare it has a lifetime cap I believe of 5 years. The exception is SSDI, SI, which means you or a family member must be disabled, and takes an average of 2.5 years to get, and Medicare/Medicaid and food stamps which means you're seriously, no kidding poor. None of it has race based eligibility.
