The Trumpster is just using "ZOMG North Korea!" as a political distraction, brilliantly actually, since the Derpocrats take the bait, hook, line and sinker every time, but as of right now, the only way a war breaks out on the Korean Peninsula, is by accident, because Trump is bluffing, the North Koreans are bluffing, bluffing all the way to misapprehension, miscalculation and mistake, is the only war scenario in play, and as such, it wouldn't open with a decapitation strike.ssu wrote:If then, even.Smitty-48 wrote:I certainly consider preemptive counterforce against North Korea before they can reach the threshold of launch on warning hair trigger alert against the CONUS in a permanently unstable and volatile standoff, to be a viable option, but it can't be executed quick and dirty with SOF, if that was an option, would have done it a long time ago.
Anyway, If it Trump goes to war by starting it himself, I guess Trumpster wanted that in the first Place.

Re: North Korea News
Trump's base is desperate to respond to any threat with maximum firepower, regardless of consequences - more accurately, they can't be bothered to think about it. Trump doesn't really care, just handed control the MIC for foreign policy, and abdicated his own office. Endgame is set in motion, and not likely to stop before reaching peak annihalation, now.ssu wrote:If then, even.Smitty-48 wrote:I certainly consider preemptive counterforce against North Korea before they can reach the threshold of launch on warning hair trigger alert against the CONUS in a permanently unstable and volatile standoff, to be a viable option, but it can't be executed quick and dirty with SOF, if that was an option, would have done it a long time ago.

I'd appreciate it if you could monitor this thread, so that we may issue a "told you so", during our 30-minute terminal window.Smitty-48 wrote:The Trumpster is just using "ZOMG North Korea!" as a political distraction, brilliantly actually, since the Derpocrats take the bait, hook, line and sinker every time, but as of right now, the only way a war breaks out on the Korean Peninsula, is by accident, because Trump is bluffing, the North Koreans are bluffing, bluffing all the way to misapprehension, miscalculation and mistake, is the only war scenario in play, and as such, it wouldn't open with a decapitation strike.ssu wrote:If then, even.Smitty-48 wrote:I certainly consider preemptive counterforce against North Korea before they can reach the threshold of launch on warning hair trigger alert against the CONUS in a permanently unstable and volatile standoff, to be a viable option, but it can't be executed quick and dirty with SOF, if that was an option, would have done it a long time ago.

I think Capps put it best, when he described people like you as "Sky Is Falling Chicken Little Faggots", that pretty much sums it up. /shrugsGrumpyCatFace wrote: I'd appreciate it if you could monitor this thread, so that we may issue a "told you so", during our 30-minute terminal window.

Oh, I'll still be around. Re: North Korea News
The North Korean nuclear option has not yet reached the threshold of existential threat, I would consider preempting them before they ever get there, but they're not there yet, still some years off before they are at Red Wings against the CONUS, I'll let you know when we get there, in the meantime, the only realistic war scenario is ragged start, by misapprehension, miscalculation and mistake, and as such, it will not open with a decapitation strike, nor launch on warning.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Oh, I'll still be around. Yeah that makes sense. Still I think new war is on the horizon based off the massive increase of production at that Ohio Titanium factory that I wrote about earlier today.Smitty-48 wrote:The North Korean nuclear option has not yet reached the threshold of existential threat, I would consider preempting them before they ever get there, but they're not there yet, still some years off before they are at Red Wings against the CONUS, I'll let you know when we get there, in the meantime, the only realistic war scenario is ragged start, by misapprehension, miscalculation and mistake, and as such, it will not open with a decapitation strike, nor launch on warning.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Oh, I'll still be around. There is a time for good men to do bad things.
For fuck sake, 1984 is NOT an instruction manual!

The US military doesn't actually use a whole lot of titanium, here and there, mostly for high performance aircraft, but not in huge quantities, if there was a ramp up for World War Three, the ramp up would be in depleted uranium not titanium.SilverEagle wrote:Yeah that makes sense. Re: North Korea News
aluminum, steel, copper, etc.
Watch the base metals and industrial alloys like super steel.
Titanium is used to house jet engines and things like that, but it's generally a one-off purchase when you order the aircraft.
I am not sure about other branches, but in wartime the USAF will be surging waves of sorties, which means a much higher consumption of little things like screws and bolts, and all the material used to repair circuit boards (half the aircraft come back with something broken). Ordinance is generally aluminum, circuitry, explosives, solid fuel, etc. There's not much to be made there as an investor.
The big money is made in the lead-up to war with big defense contractors getting more contracts for big ticket items. Once war is about to start, watch all the subcontractors affiliated with the DoD. They stand to make good money.
Definitely buy oil stocks if you think a big war is coming, unless that war is nuclear, I guess.

Re: North Korea News
Titanium is very expensive and very hard to work with, cutting and welding titanium is an expensive pain in the ass, they use titanium because it is light and very heat resistant, so on high performance aircraft limited amounts of titanium are used on the leading edges, but the vast majority of the metal on the bird is aluminium.
Depleted uranium on the other hand, the Pentagon uses that for everything, from bombs and automatic cannon rounds, to tank armor and tank ammo, WWIII ramp up is DU coming out of their ears.
